But a good guide is as follows:\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRosemary - Use 300 g of rosemary leaves and 3.65 litres of water (don't fill over the max amount). \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTurn the Air Still on, collect the distillate (preferable in fractions). \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eCollect no more than 80% (3 litres) otherwise it will boil dry and cook the rosemary.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eYou will collect 3 litres of hydrosol (water\/flavour) and a small amount of oil on top - the essential oils. \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUse a pipette to collect the essential oil. \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIf you're going to make alcohol from this afterwards, boil 2-3 lots of water through it first otherwise your alcohol will smell like rosemary.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\u003cp class=\"richp\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eHow do I distil water?\n\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eBefore use, clean the inside of the still and fill it with clean water to the 4 litre line which is marked on the inside. \u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMake sure that no water is spilt on the outside of the body and ensure that both electrical sockets are clean and dry.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eFit the top cover of the still in place and plug the fan lead into the socket in the still body.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePlace a 4 litre collection jug under the outlet nozzle.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePress the reset button on the base of the still.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eConnect the main power cord between the still and the mains power socket.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTurn on the mains power socket switch.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eYou will hear the fan in the top cover of the still start.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIt will take about 1½ hours for the water to heat up.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eOnce distillation starts, water will begin to drip into the collection bottle.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe still will take about 10 hours to distil off the 4 litres (1 US gallon) .\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe power supply reset switches off automatically when the distillation is completed.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eYou will need to press the reset button on the base of the still before you next use it.\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAfter distillation the water needs to be polished. We recommend filtering the distilled water through a Still Spirits Air Still Carbon Filter.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\u003ch3\u003eUsing the Infusion Basket\n\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe Still Spirits Air Still has a hole under the lid where the vapour enters and condensers in the cooling coil before coming out as liquid alcohol. This will help to remove any fermentation odours.\u003c\/li\u003e\u003c\/ul\u003e\u003ch4\u003eInstructions for making a 10 Litre Wash\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cli\u003e1. Add 7.5 L (2 US Gal) of water at 30°C (86°F) to your 10 litre (2.5 US Gal) fermenter.\u003c\/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e2. Add 2.2 kg (4 lbs 14 oz) of Turbo Sugar. Mix well to dissolve. Alternatively you can use white            sugar, or 2.4 kg (5 lbs 5 oz) Dextrose or corn sugar.\u003c\/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e3. Add Yeast and Nutrient.\u003c\/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e4. Gently massage the Turbo Carbon sachet and then add to the mix. Stir well.\u003c\/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e5. Sit the fermenter at room temperature, approx. 18-24°C (65-75°F), for 7 days or until mix has stopped bubbling.\u003c\/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e6. Once bubbles have stopped rising to surface of the mix, add the Turbo Clear. First vigorously stir the mix to remove all the gas.\u003c\/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e7. Once degassed add the Finings A. Stir well then stand for 1 hour.\u003c\/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e8. Add Finings B whilst stirring. Stop stirring as soon as all Finings B has been added. Do not stir vigorously as it will disrupt the clearing process. Stand for 24 hours then carefully remove clear wash for distilling.\u003c\/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAfter distilling you need to filter your spirit through the Air Still filter. Change the cartridge after each has been filtered.
